Lucidez is a game about learning to consciously see. It was heavily inspired by the book Ensaio sobre a Cegueira from José Saramago.
2023
This was made as a final project of the semester for my Game Design class at university over a period of six weeks. The game development begun with my frustration over bitsy, but I feel I've made peace with it's inconvenient ways over the process. Lucidez is meant to be a story that teaches us to think beyond what we see and to grasp situations. Reflecting on the outcome, I am confident that I have reasonably realized my initial vision.

was my first submission to Game Creators club, overall the process of both learning the renpy functions and implementing each one to my liking went quite smoothly, thanks to my previous python knowledge. It is meant to teach those who might need it that getting better starts with small steps, while still providing my vision of fun, puzzles. I feel it was one of my favourite learning processes of 2023.
